An electric scooter to fold up: Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger reports on Cologne start-up idea
Cologne (tw) – Especially in narrow cities, where parking space is limited and traffic jams are frequent, e-scooter drivers have a clear advantage: they are fast, agile and can park wherever they want.
Maximilian Camp studied Digital Management at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Cologne and is currently developing an electric scooter variant that can even be folded up. Together with Felix Vreden and Marvin Panek, he founded the start-up company STEEREON for this purpose. Panek and Vreden studied engineering at the Technical University of Cologne and have already developed a prototype. The scooter is expected to weigh twelve to 15 kilograms at one point and travel at speeds of up to 25 and 40 kilometers per hour respectively. After 50 kilometers it has to be recharged. Plans include exporting the scooter to Israel because there are already many vehicles of this type there. Camp already contacted potential customers during an excursion to Tel Aviv together with 20 other master students and Dean of Studies Prof. Dr. Richard C. Geibel.
