Our Company:

EHI is a scientific institute for retail with approximately 85 colleagues located in the heart of Cologne. We explore the future of shopping. Our roughly 850 members include international retail companies and their industry associations, manufacturers of consumer and investment goods, as well as various service providers. We publish studies and trade magazines, organize conferences and trade fairs.

Our research area and your tasks:
Our E-Commerce research focuses on market analysis and tracking trends in the German-speaking B2C online retail sector. Another key aspect is the transformation toward connected commerce, where channels and touchpoints for customers merge into a seamless shopping experience.

We are currently providing a job offer for a working student (m/f/d) at our Cologne location within the E-Commerce research department!

Your tasks:

• Content analysis of online shops in the German-speaking region based on predefined criteria
• Research and analysis of data and facts related to current trade-relevant topics
• Creation of statistical and textual content
• Organizational support and data maintenance, for example, in the CRM system.

Your Profile:

• Currently enrolled in any field of study with a background in scientific methods; career changers are also welcome
• Attention to detail and accuracy in your work are essential
• Strong analytical skills.
• Independent, meticulous, and goal-oriented work style
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Fluent in German

Our Offer:

• Approximately 14 – 16 hours per week on-site for a long-term collaboration
• Practical experience in E-Commerce research
• Compensation: €12.00 gross/hour starting salary, €13.50 gross/hour after 1 year, €15.00 gross/hour after 2 years
• Days of annual leave based on a 5-day workweek; prorated for part-time
