How the E-Commerce Institute works
In semester-related university projects, interested companies or organizations can have student teams working on questions from their business context. The teams are set up in an interdisciplinary manner according to the problem and, if necessary, supplemented by experts. If purely student teams work on a topic, this student consulting is free of charge if it takes place within the framework of a semester event. The project is therefore tied to the time of the semester (mid-March to the end of June, mid-September to mid-January).
The projects regularly have the following structure:
First, the companies create a sketch for the projects, which illustrates the project goals, questions, etc. When the project starts, a briefing takes place either at the university or in the project partner’s premises. After about four to six weeks, an interim presentation takes place, which gives the project partner the opportunity to intervene in the processing. The project is then finalized and concluded with a final presentation. After this final presentation, a final documentation with all essential results is created.
